Aloha Oe

Aloha Oe is a song written by the last ruler and queen of Hawaii in 1877. The song was originally written about love, but it became a sad farewell song when the queen was overthrown. It is written with a mixture of Hawaiian and some English, typical of the Hawaiian languages used at that time.
